One creative, whole funnel. One woman (the Pet Mom) in her own home, talking to camera. The engine is irony: the cleaning is what’s been making her carpet dirty. Wholesome-absurd, never crude. Full version below; the TOFU and BOFU cuts come from the same shoot.
Survey-validated: confessional script (9.22) and the “you’re not crazy, here’s why” hook (9.63) won against 10 scripts and 15 hooks tested against the Happy Valley Pet Mom. Absurdity capped at Level 3 (conspiracy-corkboard mom); Level 4-5 tested “too much.”
HOOK (ironic gut-punch, a little feral): > She gestures at her gray carpet, wild-eyed. > “I figured out why my carpet keeps getting dirty. You ready?” Beat. “It’s the cleaning. I have been paying to make my carpet WORSE.” > Dead calm. “Everyone said I was crazy. I’m not crazy. The carpet cleaner is the carpet’s problem.”
THE DESCENT (the conspiracy, Level 3): > Red-string corkboard: “PAID TO CLEAN IT” → “IT GOT DIRTIER” → a soap bottle circled in red. > “I pay them. They clean it. Two weeks later it’s filthy again. Every single time. So either I’m losing my mind, or the cleaning IS the problem.”
THE VINDICATION (proof beat 1, the foam, the catch): > She pours a glass of clean water on the “cleaned” carpet. It foams. She points, triumphant. > “Soap. They clean it with soap. And soap is a magnet for dirt. So they spray dirt-glue into my carpet, charge me, and tell me it’s normal that it’s filthy again.” > Quieter. “Nobody in the whole industry will say it. The soap was the dirt.”
THE EVIDENCE (beats 2 + 3): > Holds up the recovery tank of black water like Exhibit A. Cut to the same room six weeks later, spotless. > “This was in my floor. And this is six weeks later. Still clean. Because no soap went in it.”
THE TURN (serene, the offer): > “Zerorez leaves zero residue. No soap, nothing left behind. So the clean actually cleans, and it stays clean. They guarantee it. If it comes back, they come back, free.” > Dry. “Imagine that. A carpet cleaner that cleans the carpet.” Soft. “I’m not crazy. I was just the only one paying attention.” > End card: ZEROREZ. The only clean that stays clean. + Stays-Clean Guarantee + book CTA.
Every competitor review thread says the same thing: dirty again, still wet, residue, musty. The whole category answers it with “we clean deeper.” Nobody names the cause, because for everyone using soap, the cause is them. The foam test in this script shows the residue on camera. That on-screen proof is the credibility move: act on the thing the data is screaming that everyone else ignores.
